  • The Accountability Project aims to investigate systemic impunity through a comprehensive archive of global case files. This initiative exposes various layers of corruption—financial, political, and moral—where accountability fails. By documenting landmark cases, the project seeks to highlight the ways in which power protects itself and the repercussions for those who challenge it. The organization strives to inform the public about these issues, encouraging awareness and advocacy for greater transparency and justice in institutions around the world.

  • The Accountability Project's narrative structure is organized into four distinct acts: Act I focuses on Systems That Protect Power, showcasing cases like FBME Bank and 1MDB. Act II examines Power Without Accountability, featuring cases such as Tameer Holding and Magnitsky. Act III explores Capture and Control through the Gupta State Capture and Azerbaijani Laundromat cases. Finally, Act IV discusses Collapse and Reckoning, highlighting the stories of Theranos and BTA Bank. Each act presents a thematic exploration of how corruption operates within global systems.

  • The global index of investigations is easily accessible on The Accountability Project's website. Located just below the introductory editorial section, the index presents a clean, scannable table or card grid listing all ten landmark cases. Each entry includes the region, case title, year, and key theme of the investigation, allowing users to quickly find and explore specific cases. By clicking on the case titles, readers can access detailed information about each case, enhancing their understanding of the complexities involved in global corruption.
